Endoscopy

Your intestinal health

Endoscopy is the name for an in-depth examination of hollow organs such as the stomach and intestines using an endoscope. The gastroscopy (optical examination of the stomach and intestines) and coloscopy (optical examination of the colon) and also the anoscopy (optical examination of the anal canal) are for example endoscopic examinations. These examinations are used for both the prevention and early diagnosis of illnesses as well as the diagnosis of existing complaints in the gastrointestinal tract.

The endoscopy is carried out using modern video endoscopes from Olympus – with image documentation during the examination and findings afterwards. The surgery hygiene is in accordance with international guidelines and is constantly checked. Disposable articles are used during the endoscopy procedure.
